Matthew wants to help followers of Jesus Christ understand biblical truth so they can live in intimacy with Christ, victory over sin, and powerful ministry. He teaches and writes about discipleship, marriage, family, parenting, home education, and church.

He lives with his wife, Dana, in Clemmons, NC, with six of their nine children still at home. Matthew serves as executive director and president of North Carolinians for Home Education. He earned a B.S. in communication at Appalachian State University and two masters degrees and a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
